As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Cleveland's vibrant neighborhoods, your role will extend beyond simply addressing communication and swallowing challenges; it will serve as a pivotal key to unlocking potential, igniting self-esteem, and fostering meaningful connections - whether it's a child articulating their first syllables or an elder regaining mastery of speech. This position presents a unique opportunity where you'll provide care to a diverse array of individuals spanning from young learners to seniors, all within a dynamic environment that integrates outpatient therapy alongside occasional inpatient care. Dive into your interests whether that's fostering early language acquisition, supporting adults with neurogenic communication issues, or assisting seniors in cognitive-linguistic recovery - here, you'll discover both purpose and flexibility. Description Assess patients throughout various demographics, employing standardized evaluative tools and observational methods for effective diagnosis. Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions centered around language, communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation. Engage in collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care. Educate patients and their families, empowering them to encourage continued progress outside of scheduled sessions. Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions when required, preserving seamless care throughout each treatment phase. Ensure meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies. Commit to ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of current techniques and treatment modalities through educational opportunities and peer networking. Education Earned Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), should you be in pursuit of ASHA certification. Certifications Active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) credential required within the first 30 days of hire. Skills Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for a diverse age range, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary health teams. Flexibility in adapting therapeutic approaches to accommodate various cultural and language backgrounds. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Competence in electronic medical record systems and adherence to documentation protocols. Benefits Attractive compensation reflecting your experience and expertise. Flexible scheduling options to enhance your work-life balance alongside diverse caseloads. Paths to specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care. Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. Professional development support including reimbursement for continuing education. A collaborative team-focused environment committed to excellence and lifelong learning. A Career Flowing With Purpose In this role, you won't simply be providing therapy - you'll be joining a mission that revitalizes voices, strengthens the bonds of communication, and cultivates moments of profound joy through the simplest acts of human connection. Here, you'll collaborate with a family-like team of professionals who value camaraderie over competition. Every patient brings a narrative; we trust you to help them articulate it.
