Create individualized treatment plans designed to achieve specific short-term objectives as well as address ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication techniques, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and safe swallowing methods. Engage in interprofessional collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise an integrated care approach. Provide education to patients and families to enhance their understanding and involvement in the healing process outside of therapy. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation journey. Keep precise and timely clinical documentation that aligns with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Remain informed on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment. Skills Strong grasp of evidence-based treatment strategies for a spectrum of age groups, coupled with an in-depth understanding of developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing. Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to modify therapy approaches in accordance with varying cultural and language backgrounds. Sound clinical judgment complemented by strong problem-solving capabilities.
