Office ManagerDepartment: Management FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary: Manages branch or office of financial institution by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Teller (Head Teller) and CSR Department of the branch. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and continued training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Duties/Responsibilities: Directs, coordinates and monitors activities to implement institution's policies, procedures and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit, commercial loans, real estate loans and consumer loans. Collaborates with the committee and other managers to set performance standards. Standards may be based on financial and operational goals and required compliance with internal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations. Directs activities involving implementation of establishment services and functions including collecting delinquent accounts, authorizing loans or opening accounts. Contacts customers, businesses, community and civic organizations; participates in community activities to promote goodwill and generate new business while maintaining and developing positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff. Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations. Interviews loan applicants and completes appropriate loan applications with the ability to make/deny the loan based on sound credit analysis/working with credit analysts within the guidelines established in the EXB Loan Policy/polling Executive Committee (when exception/approval needed) within the given loan limits or coordinating with another Loan Officer with higher limits. Talks to customers to resolve account problems. Performs Monthly Teller audits (Head Teller, Vault, Teller). Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with branch staff; provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives. Identifies training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent leadership and management skills. Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Must be employed by The Exchange Bank of Alabama or previous financial institution at least 2 years within a position where required skills were acquired. Minimum of 2 years' related experience in decision making and customer relations and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be knowledgeable of bank products and willing to cross-sell all products and have an outgoing personality. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to assess different situations which may arise with professionalism in all business and personal aspects. Lending/Loan processing preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perceive and interpret auditory and visual information to ensure safety and effective communication. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
