Field Network & Low Voltage Technician at Orcha Systems

About the Role Orcha Systems partners with national IT service providers to fulfill field service and infrastructure projects across the U.S. As a Field Network & Low Voltage Technician (1099), you'll be assigned on-site jobs on behalf of Orcha Systems and/or its service delivery partners. Clear instructions, documentation, and expectations will be provided for each assignment. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment (switches, routers, access points) Terminate and test Cat5e/6 cables and patch panels Install and service low-voltage systems, including: CCTV / surveillance cameras Access control systems Paging and speaker systems Perform basic site surveys and validate layouts Submit documentation, photos, and job notes after each visit Requirements 2+ years of experience in networking, cabling, or low voltage systems Familiarity with cable testers, punch-down tools, labeling, and toners Able to read diagrams and perform clean, professional installs Own transportation and standard toolset Smartphone or tablet for on-site documentation Nice to Have Experience with brands like Cisco, Ubiquiti, Meraki, Hikvision, or Verkada Experience in retail, QSR, hospitality, or commercial environments Schedule & Commitment Flexible project-based scheduling Projects range from short-term deployments to ongoing work Depending on availability and job volume Travel/mileage may be compensated depending on scope
