Job Title - Senior AWS DevOps Engineer Location - New York City,NY Experience - 12+ years Type - Contract Key Responsibilities Architect, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes and containerization best practices. Lead infrastructure automation initiatives using SaltStack and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Design, implement, and manage GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, tightly integrated with GitLab repositories and CI/CD pipelines. Develop, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI to ensure fast, reliable, and secure application deployments. Build, manage, and maintain Docker containers and Helm charts for application packaging and Kubernetes deployments. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and security teams to streamline release processes and enforce DevSecOps best practices. Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using modern observability and monitoring tools. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions. Mentor junior engineers and actively promote DevOps and SRE best practices across teams. Required Experience & Skills 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production environments. Deep expertise in SaltStack for configuration management and automation. Proven experience implementing ArgoCD-based GitOps workflows. Advanced proficiency in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures. Strong experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipeline development. Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration concepts. Hands-on experience with Helm for Kubernetes application deployments. Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
