Job Description: US Pipe Fabrication is currently seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to join our team in Orlando, FL. Responsibilities will include providing maintenance and training services to multiple facilities. Functionally responsible to support the manufacturing team including day to day floor support, machine repair and troubleshooting, maintenance and operator training. Process improvement through machine trouble shooting, repair and planned maintenance to improve safety, product quality, customer delivery, and cost reductions. 50 - 75 % travel is possible. Essential Functions: • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a broad range of mechanical machines, systems and equipment including CNC control, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment. • Perform and complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks. • Utilize a CMMS system for work orders, PM's and component tracking. • Train facility maintenance and operators in preventative maintenance operations. • Provide assistance will plant operations and functions as necessary. • Work in various areas of the plant location is required. Depending upon the area, environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy. • May be required to work at heights and or in confined space. • May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians. • Support and participate in the US Pipe Fabrication Safety / Quality and OPEX programs to develop, test and document new and existing production equipment and procedures. • Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times. Safety is our core value which requires you to wear safety protection such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and boots with metatarsal protection. • Will travel to regional facilities to perform maintenance functions. • All other duties assigned. Knowledge, Demonstrated Skills & Abilities: • Basic industrial mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic experience. • Machine troubleshooting and repair experience is necessary. • Minimum of 2 years manufacturing and/or industrial experience (including relevant experience gained in military service) or equivalent education. This includes experience in any of the following: hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, welding, pipefitting, structural repair, and automotive or diesel mechanic. • High School Diploma or GED. • The position requires the ability to work alone with minimal supervision and / or with other maintenance technicians. • The position requires the ability to travel. Estimated 50-75% travel is expected. • The position requires overtime work as needed, possibly on weekends. • Willingness to learn and train others. Preferred Knowledge, Demonstrated Skills & Abilities: • Familiarity with CNC manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques. • Experience working on metal lathes, saws, and coating systems. • Industry knowledge / certifications for electrical, safety, welding, etc. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design. • Bilingual Working Conditions: • Since this is a heavy industrial environment there will be exposure to fabrication shop operations. The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions: extreme heat and cold, noise, vibration, oils, and atmospheric conditions such as dust and fumes. • When in the shop production area, the employee will be required to wear a uniform as well as the determined PPE which may include steel toed metatarsal shoes, safety glasses with foam lining, face mask, gloves, a bump cap, or hearing protection.
