Advanced RN Clinical Nurse Manager - ICU

Position Overview This leadership role holds full accountability for the delivery of high-quality nursing care and the operational management of an intensive care unit within a healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest region. The Clinical Nurse Manager integrates and coordinates leadership, management, quality improvement, and clinical activities to ensure excellent patient care. Acting as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource, this individual supports nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative and compassionate environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment, including adherence to infection control standards. Lead and coordinate all operational, clinical, and quality improvement activities within the assigned unit. Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for nursing staff and healthcare team members. Stay informed about regional healthcare issues and community standards, participating in strategic planning and implementation. Conduct performance evaluations and manage staff development in accordance with organizational policies. Apply appropriate disciplinary processes when necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit and organizational goals. Qualifications Minimum of three years clinical experience in a leadership role. At least two years of management experience in a clinical setting. Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field required. Master's degree (MSN, MBA, MHA, or related leadership field) preferred. Licenses and Certifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in the region. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required where applicable. Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required for Labor & Delivery and NICU units. Additional Requirements Successful candidates must pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. Compliance with regional COVID-19 vaccination mandates is required.
