CNC OperatorDepartment: Manufacturing & Distribution - Skilled Jobs Employment Type: Full Time Location: North Kingstown, RI Reporting To: Robert Sammartino Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00 / hour Description This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce accurate, high-quality parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. The position includes monitoring machine performance, troubleshooting issues, performing inspections, adjusting programs or processes, and cross-training to load and run files on waterjet, plasma, and/or laser cutting tables using machine software. The employee will also safely handle materials, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. How You Will HelpSet up, operate, and maintain CNC machines. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to ensure precise machining. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation and programming. Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with specifications. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure optimal operation. Monitor machine operation and adjust programs as needed to optimize performance. Continuously improve machining processes for efficiency and quality. Use crane, dollies and carts to obtain and return material to and from storage area and move completed job to next operation. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and housekeeping protocols. Follow all established safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to machine operation, safety, and quality control. Ensure a safe and compliant work environment, reporting any safety hazards or deviations from standard practices. Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the workplace. Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor What You Will HaveAbility to lift 50 pounds Experience with CAD Design Able to travel to customer job sites to perform in-field machining operations. Must be able to use measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, verniers and calipers, and read gauges. Must be able to be certified to operate a forklift and use hoists to pick up heavy parts. General computer skills, experience in Autocad and / or nesting (Columbus) software a plus.
