As a 340B Compliance Specialist for the North Central Health District (5-2) you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals working to protect the health and well-being of communities across the state by supporting vital public health initiatives. Job Responsibilities The 340B Compliance Specialist reports to the Assistant District Nursing Director (ADND) and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 340B Program. This role develops, implements, and ensures adherence to all pharmaceutical processes related to 340B compliance and provides support to clinics across the district to maintain program integrity. The 340B Compliance Specialist also oversees district pharmacy operations and supervises pharmacy staff to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and best practices. Primary Duties & Responsibilities 340B Program Oversight & Compliance Lead and oversee all aspects of the 340B Program across the district. Serve as the primary compliance expert and liaison for internal and external 340B matters. Ensure ongoing compliance with HRSA, OPA, federal, and state regulations. Maintain audit readiness and coordinate all internal and external audits. Oversee HRSA registration, recertification, and OPAIS accuracy. Policy, Training & Regulatory Monitoring Develop, implement, and update 340B policies and procedures. Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to leadership and staff. Provide ongoing training and education to staff and leadership on 340B requirements. Auditing & Program Integrity Conduct routine self-audits and compliance reviews, including contract pharmacies and eligible sites. Monitor patient eligibility, purchasing, billing, and utilization to ensure program integrity. Collaborate with billing, EMR, pharmacy, and leadership teams to resolve compliance issues. Contract & Vendor Management Manage 340B contract pharmacy relationships and related agreements. Work with manufacturers, wholesalers, and vendors to ensure compliance and maximize program participation. Financial Oversight & Reporting Track, analyze, and report 340B savings, utilization, and compliance metrics. Provide regular reports to pharmacy and administrative leadership. Identify opportunities for cost savings and program optimization. Purchasing & Inventory Oversight Monitor 340B purchasing, inventory, and replenishment processes. Ensure compliance with 340B pricing and inventory regulations. Oversee medication purchasing and inventory controls for eligible locations. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience working in a pharmacy, which includes one (1) year experience as a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Pharmacy Tech 3 (HCS032) or position equivalent. Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. Experience in public health, either in clinical practice or program management. Experience managing federal or state budgets. Knowledge of and experience working with 340B program contracts.
