Responsibilities - Deliver on-site support for Dell servers and data center infrastructure, ensuring rapid issue resolution. - Perform hardware maintenance including server builds, swaps, component replacements, and firmware updates. - Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and OS issues, escalating as needed per established procedures. - Execute reactive and preventive maintenance tasks, following detailed plans of action. - Collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to provide clear communication during service events. - Document all work in real-time, contributing to shared knowledge and best practices. - Participate in on-call rotations and provide extended coverage when required. Required Skills and Experience - 3-5+ years in technical support, field service, or data center roles. - Proven hands-on experience with server hardware (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, server builds). - Skilled at server swaps, deployments, and component replacements. - Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems. - Strong troubleshooting abilities and independent problem-solving skills. - Experience documenting technical work with attention to detail. - Comfortable with physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs) and traveling to customer sites. - Outstanding communication and customer service skills. - Track record of reliability, work ethic, and ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments. Preferred Skills - Experience with water-cooled servers. - Dell or other vendor certifications. - Prior experience building PCs. - Demonstrated ability to stay current with technology trends and best practices.
