Job Summary - Side / Belly Dump Semi Driver Pirc-Tobin Construction is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Side / Belly Dump Semi Driver to support our heavy civil construction projects. This role is responsible for safely operating semi trucks with side dump and belly dump trailers to haul aggregates, dirt, broken pavement, and other construction materials to and from active job sites, quarries, and dump locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented, with a strong commitment to safety and professionalism. Drivers will work closely with dispatch, foremen, and crews to ensure efficient material delivery while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Additional Requirements & Expectations Applicant must pass a physical ability test and drug screening prior to employment Must be flexible with work hours, including overtime and occasional weekends as project demands require Must demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to assist crews as needed Safety-oriented mindset with respect for job-site rules and procedures Core Values In addition to technical skills and experience, the successful candidate must consistently demonstrate Pirc-Tobin's five core values: Dependable & Hardworking Honest Problem Solver Show Care & Professionalism Committed to Continuous Personal Growth Key Responsibilities Operate side dump and belly dump semi trucks to haul dirt, aggregates, broken pavement, and construction materials Safely load, transport, and unload materials on active construction sites, quarries, and haul routes Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical or safety issues Follow all DOT, FMCSA, MSHA, and company safety regulations Communicate with dispatch, foremen, and job-site crews to ensure accurate and efficient deliveries Maintain accurate daily logs, load tickets, and trucking documentation Keep truck and trailer clean, well-maintained, and job-ready Assist crews and support job-site operations as needed (labor tasks may include lifting, carrying, shoveling, etc.) Education & Training Requirements: Class B CDL w/ Air Brake Endorsement (Class A Preferred) Clean Driving Record Current Iowa DOT Physical Company Assistance/Scheduling for Below Trainings: First Aid/CPR Training 10 Hour OSHA Training Course MSHA Training Course Cut off saw Benefits Offered: Health & Dental Insurance HSA with Company Contribution 401K with Company Match Supplemental Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital & Cancer Insurance Life Insurance Direct Deposit Profit Sharing Program Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Weekly Direct Deposit Annual Clothing & Safety Boot Allowance Collaborative & Supportive Workplace Culture
