Entry Level Cable Technician (Low Voltage) - Houston TX

Summary: We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Cable Technician / Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in technology installation and maintenance with a focus on structured cabling and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in hands-on work, a commitment to learning new skills, and is comfortable working under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities: • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage cabling systems, including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cables. • Support the setup of audio, video, and data equipment for commercial. • Follow safety protocols to ensure all installations meet regulatory standards and company guidelines. • Collaborate with senior technicians to understand project requirements and work in compliance with project blueprints and client specifications. • Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure optimal performance. • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition. Qualification: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Interest in or basic knowledge of electronics, wiring, and low-voltage systems. • Ability to work in diverse environments (construction sites, commercial buildings, etc.). • Willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. • Ability to lift and carry equipment and work on ladders as required. Additional Training : On-the-job training will be provided for cable installation techniques, safety practices, and tools/equipment handling.
