OT Environment Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of the specific requirements of OT environments including SCADA systems, PLCs and various industrial control systems and processes. 2. Firewall Configuration and Management: Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting commercial and custom firewalls. 3. Network Security: Deep knowledge of network security principles, devices, and protocols including IDS/IPS, VPN, SSL, encryption, and more. 4. Networking Expertise: Solid foundation in networking principles including TCP/IP, routing protocols, LAN/WAN, VLAN, and segmenting networks for security purposes. 5. Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux, Unix, and Windows systems, which are commonly used in OT environments. 6. Cybersecurity Frameworks: Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks for industrial control systems such as IEC 62443 or NIST 800-82. 7. Disaster Recovery: Understanding of disaster recovery strategies and ability to perform critical backups. 8. Risk Assessment and Management: Ability to assess network vulnerabilities, threats, and risks and implement countermeasures. 9. Scripting Skills: Experience in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell to automate tasks is an advantage. 10. Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and fix security and functionality issues. 11. Interpersonal Skills: Proficient communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with team members and non-technical stakeholders. 12. Documentation Skills: Ability to create comprehensive documentation of all firewall rules, configurations, and changes.
