Job Title: Local Contract - Interventional Radiation Tech Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 03/31/2024 Hourly pay: $53.52 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $2,007 JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryDepartment: Diagnostic Radiology Shift Timings: Rotating Shift Per Week: 40 Hours ARRT(R) and Kansas LRT required. OR, ER, ICU, Trauma experience required. Rotating 8 hour shifts as needed in department. Roles & ResponsibilitiesPreparing examination rooms for patient examinations. Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images. Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort. Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast. Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation. Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records. Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies. Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice. Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment. QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current Interventional Radiology Tech experience. Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program Active unencumbered Kansas Radiology Tech license One year of Cerner experience ARRT Certification Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
