Job Description Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including interiors, renovations, and groundup work. Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs across all CSI divisions. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine accurate cost impacts. Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bids to ensure scope coverage and competitiveness. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and executives during proposal development. Develop valueengineering options and costsaving alternatives where appropriate. Maintain uptodate historical cost data, subcontractor lists, and benchmarking resources. Participate in preconstruction meetings, client presentations, and project handoff sessions. The Successful Applicant 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction. Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings. Skilled with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, and Excelbased cost modeling. Strong communication and negotiation skills with subcontractors and internal teams. Detailoriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Proven track record of producing accurate and competitive estimates.
