Housekeeper and Dog Walker

We are looking for a versatile, flexible, and good-natured housekeeper/assistant for a busy home with animals. Position Title: Housekeeper & Dog Walker Position Type: Part-time - Friday and Saturdays 9am-4pm Compensation: $28/hr Benefits: Paid Sick and Vacation, 5 Paid Holidays, Health Insurance, and snacks and drinks on site. Duties and Responsibilities Housekeeping: Regular housekeeping duties including, but not limited to: Cleaning all bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and other living areas, laundry/ironing, organizing closets and pantry, sweep/mop stairwells, clean outdoor yards as needed, clean front entry way as needed, vacuum, empty trash/recycle/compost, and any other duties as requested. Cleaning of areas outside of the main house including, but not limited to: staff break room, kennel kitchen, trailer and other areas. Animals: Care for animals includes but is not limited to: clean any areas when animals have soiled the floor, or general care and handling. Take animals to the backyard or other areas as needed. Take animals to the outdoor yards regularly. Dog walking. Assist with vet appointments and communications. Other Duties: Household and organization projects as needed. Basic Requirements Ability to work under supervision and collaborate as a team Valid clean drivers license with the ability to drive in California Ability to work independently Be proactive about animals' needs and limitations. Strong communication skills including ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to follow instructions and perform as instructed. Comfortable using internet applications and email daily. Reliable attendance and ability to work weekends or evenings when necessary. Overtime may be required. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work is performed in a domestic setting and outdoors. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, walking, and standing on feet 8-10 hours per day while performing job functions. Exposure to disinfectant solutions when cleaning. Exposure to various weather conditions when working outdoors. May require some driving and running general errands. Subject to animal bites and scratches while handling animals of questionable temperament. Tetanus and rabies (pre-exposure) inoculations are recommended. Consistent exposure to animals and animal allergens under conditions with limited alternatives available. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
