Civil Construction Superintendent

Job Summary The Civil Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations for pavement preservation work, including coordinating crews, equipment, and materials while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations for pavement preservation activities such as crack sealing, slurry seal, microsurfacing, surface treatments, and related roadway work Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries Ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements Maintain daily reports, production tracking, and field documentation Coordinate with project management and quality control staff Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture on all job sites Communicate with owners, inspectors, and agency representatives as required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent or foreman in civil or roadway construction Strong understanding of pavement preservation methods and sequencing Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience managing multiple crews and working under tight schedules Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience on DOT or municipal pavement preservation projects OSHA training or equivalent safety certifications
