Quality Assurance Analyst 1 - Data Quality Assistant This position is a hybrid position in the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) unit, within the Office of Health Informatics. This position supports data quality efforts on the Data Quality Team. This includes collaborating with other staff to identify and analyze data quality errors as well as to conduct necessary outreach and technical assistance to Wisconsin healthcare providers and organization to fix those errors. Outreach may consist of information gathering, troubleshooting, and education to assist providers who may be responsible for data quality issues within WIR. This position will also work with the team to correct duplicate client and immunization records within WIR. 45% A. Data Quality Support A1. Support the WIR Data Quality Analyst as needed with WIR unit or Immunization Program data quality initiatives. A2. Work with the WIR Data Quality Analyst to support the routine use of WIR data quality tools with an emphasis on deduplication. A3. Escalate data quality issues observed to other relevant WIR staff, including the WIR Data Quality Analyst, the Deduplication Specialist, and the WIR Unit Supervisor, and assist in identifying data quality issues' root causes and in developing a plan to address these issues. A4. Assist in incorporating CDC data quality recommendations into WIR data quality efforts. A5. Update and review process documentation as needed. 45% B. Data Quality Clean-Up B1. Support manual WIR client record merging and deduplication efforts. B2. Provide technical assistance to staff involved in clean-up of incorrectly merged records. B3. Work with providers to correct data quality errors in the Wisconsin Immunization Registry B4. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from providers via telephone, email, or secure message. 10% C. WIR Unit Support C1. Participate in WIR Unit meetings and project activities. C2. Provide support to other WIR unit areas as directed by the WIR Unit Supervisor. Top Skills & 1-3 Years of Experience: Experience in work focused on resolving data quality issues with health data Experience with work requiring high level of attention to detail. Advanced skill in communicating in writing, orally, electronically and in person. Nice to have skills: Experience working with immunization records in either an Immunization Information System, Electronic Health Record, or similar software. Experience in work focused on resolving duplicate data quality issues (i.e. merging patient records).
