Description Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Create custom-tailored treatment plans addressing both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on fluency, language, voice, and swallowing. Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop consistent care strategies. Provide education to patients and families to enhance progress in between clinical sessions. Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the rehabilitation journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Remain updated on advancements in the field through ongoing education and teamwork with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment approaches across all age groups, with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
