About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Quality Assurance Inspector to support quality operations at our Hagerstown, MD location. In this role, you will perform precision inspections using calibrated tools and portable CMM systems, verify product conformity to engineering requirements, and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards. You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify issues, maintain documentation accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Perform inspections on components and assemblies using calibrated metrology tools, including portable CMMs such as a ROMER Arm with PolyWorks Inspector software. Verify product quality and ensure conformance to engineering drawings, technical schematics, and documentation. Inspect electrical wiring, harnesses, and assemblies to confirm compliance with design, safety, and quality requirements. Interpret and review technical documentation, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications. Document inspection results, non-conformances, and support root-cause analysis for quality-related issues. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies and support continuous improvement. Support internal and external audits as needed. Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards and internal quality procedures. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Typically 5+ years of relevant experience (education may substitute for experience; relevant experience may substitute for education). Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection within aviation, aerospace, or defense manufacturing. Strong ability to read and interpret technical schematics, engineering drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams. Proficiency with inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and portable CMMs (e.g., ROMER Arm). Knowledge of electrical wiring concepts and assembly practices. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation accuracy. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe software. Preferred Qualifications Experience in aviation or defense manufacturing environments. Ability to interpret GD&T. Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-A-620 or similar industry standards. Experience creating FAIRs in accordance with AS9102. Experience working in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment. Experience with FAA PMA or Conformity Inspection processes. Prior involvement in quality audits and corrective action/root-cause analysis activities. Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality management systems. Experience working with DCMA or exposure to 8210.1D.
