Construction Superintendent

Job Full Description Job description: Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects. This pivotal role requires a proactive leader capable of coordinating multiple teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining rigorous standards of quality, safety, and budget control. The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of construction management, project scheduling, and contract administration to support the successful delivery of complex construction initiatives. Duties Lead the development and management of project budgets, ensuring accurate cost forecasting and control throughout the construction lifecycle. Oversee project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to coordinate timelines, milestones, and resource allocation effectively. Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to blueprints, schematics, safety standards (OSHA compliance), and quality control protocols. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless communication and project execution. Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Procore for accurate cost estimation and bid preparation. Monitor progress through regular site inspections,. Implement quality assurance procedures to uphold high standards in workmanship and materials. Coordinate with project teams on procurement activities, including tracking pipeline materials and managing delivery schedules. Prepare detailed reports on project status, budget performance, and potential risks for senior management. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies by conducting regular safety audits. Lead efforts in managing change orders, claims, and contract modifications efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising projects. Extensive knowledge of construction site operations, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating. Proficiency in construction management software such as Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard tools. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and implementation on active sites. Hands-on experience with construction site activities including quality control measures. Supervising experience managing diverse teams across multiple disciplines within the construction sector. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
