Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients with life-limiting conditions in the Palliative Med Surg unit. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and chaplains, to ensure comprehensive care plans that address both physical and emotional needs. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as necessary. Educate patients and their families about disease progression, symptom management, and available resources for ongoing care. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with significant experience will be considered. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in palliative care or medical-surgical settings. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA).
