Regional Assistant Controller

Job Title: Regional Assistant Controller Location: West Palm Beach, FL Compensation: $95.7k-$101.2k Total Comp Job Type: Full Time Benefits: Retirement, Healthcare, Paid Holiday, PTO, etc. Why You Should Apply: They are a well-established company with over 50 years of experience and $16B in annual revenue They are highly invested in developing and promoting employees from within You will have lots of exposure to senior leadership They have a strong benefits and compensation plan What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate has 1.5+ years of public accounting experience Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred What You'll Be Doing: Oversee division GL and prepare journal entries per GAAP and company policies Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Partner with external audit firm to assemble year-end audit reports as assigned Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations, as well as lead monthly close processes Participate in preparing the budgets and forecasts (cash flow/treasury management), as well as prepare financial models as needed. Work across multiple departments to prepare operating budgets for the division. Prepare presentations and reports for the board, as well as respond to ad hoc financial requests in a timely manner Assist with sales and use, personal property and real estate tax filings Maintain compliance with internal and external policies and procedures. Identify areas of risk and propose solutions as needed Review work of staff and provide guidance as needed to correct issues/errors Handle ad hoc requests in a timely manner
