Academic Pediatric Physician Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Department of Pediatrics University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine & Renown Health The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) and Renown Health invite applications for a Board'Eligible/Board'Certified Pediatrician. About the Department of Pediatrics The Department of Pediatrics focuses on developing new care strategies to improve the health of children in Northern Nevada. The pediatrics leadership team educates compassionate, highly skilled physician leaders through undergraduate and graduate medical education programs. Faculty across disciplines partner with health care providers to conduct research that translates into new products, programs and treatments that improve children's health and pediatric care. The research mission of the department is to conduct high-quality research to discover causes and treatments for conditions that impact the lives of children. About Renown Children's Hospital As our primary teaching hospital, Renown Regional Medical Center will be the primary facility for residents to gain clinical knowledge and experience. Renown Children's Hospital is the only children's hospital in Northern Nevada, offering 123 inpatient beds and serving over 20,500 children and their families each year. Renown Children's Hospital is a designated children's hospital recognized by the Children's Hospital Association and offers a vast array of pediatric sub-specialties; we maintain a 48-bed Pediatric Unit, 16-bed PICU, a 59-bed NICU. Meanwhile, Renown Regional Medical Center is the only designated, Level II, trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City.
