Business Analyst 5 Location: Lansing MI (2 days per week onsite) Duration: 1 year contract with chance to converts to fulltime Interview: MS Teams video interviews with camera ON. The Business Analyst 5 position will work as a contract resource for the State of Michigan - Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supporting the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for the Michigan Accounts Receivable and Collections (MiARC) Project. The resource will act as a business analyst, with duties including serving as a liaison between the MDHHS business partner and development teams, gathering requirements from the business users, facilitating meetings, writing user stories, and developing required project documentation deliverables. Top Skills & Years of Experience: Must Have: • 8+ years of experience gathering requirements from users: o identifying impacted business processes o assessing business needs o identifying IT solution integration. o GAP analysis o SWOT analysis • 6+ years of experience designing technical and business requirement documentation including: o wireframes or screen mockups, o context diagrams o benefits realization o business process models o workflow diagrams o traceability matrix • 4+ years of experience with Agile methodology / SCRUM processes and ceremonies including: o Daily Scrum o Sprint Planning o Backlog Grooming o Sprint Reviews o Sprint Retrospective • 3+ years of experience working with Azure DevOps backlog management, Kanban board, Sprint board, etc. • 5+ years of experience eliciting and decomposing requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria. • 4+ years of experience working as a business analyst on financial systems. • Experience writing test plans and use cases. • Working knowledge of Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) and Project Management Methodology (PMM) • Senior level understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: • Prior experience working with State or Federal government.
