Junior System Administrator / Network AdministratorSalary: $60,000 - $70,000 Location: Mentor, OH Position Overview We are seeking a Junior System Administrator / Network Administrator to support day-to-day IT operations, network infrastructure, and end-user systems. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who has hands-on experience with Windows environments, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with senior IT staff to maintain system stability, ensure network security, and provide technical support across the organization. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Windows Server environments Manage user accounts, permissions, and Group Policy in Active Directory Support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network infrastructure Configure and maintain switches, routers, and firewalls Monitor system performance and network uptime Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues Assist with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) Perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures Support endpoint management and patching Document IT processes, procedures, and configurations Required Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in System Administration or Network Support Experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022 preferred) Working knowledge of Active Directory and DNS/DHCP Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) Experience supporting Microsoft 365 Familiarity with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications Experience with firewall management and endpoint security tools Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Technical Skills Snapshot Windows Server Administration Active Directory & Group Policy Networking Fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP) Microsoft 365 VMware / Hyper-V Endpoint & Patch Management Backup & Recovery Why Join Us?
