Registered Nurse Special Procedures

Reporting to the Special Procedures Charge Nursethis position is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility andaccountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and providescare to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, theenvironment/instrumentation, and other health care team members . EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE: 1. Graduate of an accredited RegisteredNurse (RN) program required. 2. Recent critical care nursing practice within the past twoyears preferred (Radiology, ICU, Telemetry, Emergency Department) Experience with conscious sedation preferred CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 1. Current license as aRegistered Nurse in the State of California. 2. Current CPR certificationrequired. 3. Current ACLS certification required. 4. Current PALS certificationrequired. 5. NIHSS certification required if assigned work in theCath Lab within 6 months of hire
