The Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, scheduled to open in May 2025 in New Brunswick, is New Jersey's first and only freestanding cancer hospital and one of an elite group of such facilities across the nation. It brings together two powerhouse institutions of medical care, education and research under one roof: RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute, the state's only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Developed in partnership with the New Brunswick Development Corporation, the Morris is designed with the patient at the center - creating an exceptional patient experience, providing state-of-the-art technology and housing research laboratories and scientists. With a multitude of services in one building, the new facility will enable providers and researchers to more easily communicate, share ideas, and collaborate on cancer care and treatments - for their patients as well as the broader cancer community.
