We are looking for someone who can provide day-to-day technical foundry operations support by leveraging processes expertise, implementing tooling development, and continuous improvements to operational safety, quality, efficiency, and cost management. JOB DUTIES: The role will be a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Mapleton Cast Metals Organization. Leadership over manufacturing engineering team responsible for tooling and/or cylinder liner casting and machining. Team consists of six direct reports including manufacturing engineers and production non-traditional roles ccountable for value stream goals & alignment with operations on people, quality, velocity and cost targets for full value stream - foundry and machine shop Responsible for actively recruiting and continuing to build a strong performing team Continuous improvement project leadership BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Requires analytical ability as well as excellent oral and written communications skills This position requires a 4-year college degree in an appropriate engineering or technical discipline with 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience, OR equivalent 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience in lieu of degree Direct leadership, project leadership, or team lead experience required Foundry or machining process experience required dditional Information: This position is located in Mapleton, IL.
