Job Description

Position Overview Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team in Wallingford, Connecticut. This full-time position involves managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in all transactions. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business, making sure all financial documentation is precise and up-to-date, and must have QuickBooks Online experience. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and statements. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely. Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency with the company's financial records. Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review. Assist in budgeting and forecasting financial activities. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. Provide support during audits and financial assessments. Manage payroll processing and related financial activities. Address discrepancies and resolve financial issues as they arise. Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in preparing financial statements and handling payroll is preferred. Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, first shift. Benefits Details regarding benefits will be discussed during the interview process. Additional Details Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
