Compensation (Flat-Rate: Hourly): $20.00 - 25.00 / hour Based on experience, certifications, and skill level Tenure Bonus Program: Starting at 6 months, earn up to $3.50/hour on every flat-rate hour turned Bonus increases with tenure and is paid annually Job DescriptionSummary: The Auto Body Technician is responsible for performing advanced collision and structural repairs, including aluminum repairs, to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. This role requires strong diagnostic ability, structural repair expertise, and aluminum repair certification to ensure all work meets manufacturer and industry standards. Duties & Responsibilities: Review repair orders and perform advanced body and structural collision repairs efficiently and accurately Perform aluminum panel and structural repairs in accordance with OEM and I-CAR standards Complete frame and structural repairs using proper measuring and welding equipment Repair or replace damaged aluminum and steel panels, fenders, bumpers, and structural components Perform aluminum welding and bonding procedures per manufacturer specifications Ensure proper isolation procedures when working with aluminum to prevent cross-contamination Collaborate with estimators and Body Shop leadership to identify structural and supplemental repairs Document all work performed in the repair order system accurately and in real time Conduct final inspections to ensure repairs meet manufacturer certification standards and customer expectations Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean, safe, and proper working condition Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal and safety procedures Qualifications 2+ years of collision repair experience required Aluminum repair certification required (I-CAR or OEM equivalent) Experience performing structural/frame repairs Proficiency in aluminum welding and bonding techniques Strong understanding of manufacturer repair procedures and compliance standards Ability to work independently on complex repairs High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug test, and MVR) Must be authorized to work in the USA Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GM vehicles (Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac) Additional InformationCompensation (Flat-Rate: Hourly): $20 - 25.00 / hour Based on experience, certifications, and skill level Tenure Bonus Program: Starting at 6 months, earn up to $3.50/hour on every flat-rate hour turned Bonus increases with tenure and is paid annually Schedule: FULL-TIME Sundays Always Off Saturday Availability Required Perks & Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance $0 Monthly Premium for Technicians after 12 months Reduced Rates for Dependent Coverage401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off that Increases with Tenure Closed on Thanksgiving & Christmas Employee Pricing on Vehicles, Parts & Service Free & Discounted Gym Membership Options Exclusive Travel Discounts on Hotels, Flights & Rentals OEM Certification & Paid Manufacturer Training Opportunities Career Growth within a Fortune 500 Company Tenure bonus eligibility begins after 6 months.
