Composite Repair Technician 1st or 2nd shift - 10% differential for 2nd shift. Must have Composite ExperienceBase Pay - $20-$30/hr Job Description: The Composite Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and restoring composite components used in aircraft structures and engine assemblies. This role involves performing precise repairs on composite materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar using advanced bonding, lamination, and curing techniques. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and assess damage on composite components in accordance with OEM and FAA repair manuals. Perform composite layup, cutting, sanding, and bonding operations using approved materials and processes. Operate vacuum bagging systems, autoclaves, and curing ovens to complete structural repairs. Maintain detailed repair documentation and ensure compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards (AS9100, FAA). Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to verify repairs meet specifications and airworthiness requirements. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all company and regulatory safety procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or technical certification in composite repair, materials, or related field (A&P license preferred). 2+ years of experience in composite repair or manufacturing within the aerospace industry. Strong knowledge of composite materials, tooling, adhesives, and curing processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical repair manuals. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
