Position: Patient Collector Location: Southlake, TX (Hybrid - onsite Tuesday-Thursday) - Open to remote candidates as well Salary Range: $22-$25 / Hour Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision Assignment Type: Direct Hire Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST Number of Openings: 10 (Hiring in multiple classes through June) Start Timeline: Ongoing hiring with scheduled training classes Position Overview: This role supports a growing centralized patient collections team focused on resolving outstanding patient balances and providing excellent customer service. The Patient Collector will communicate directly with patients to explain balances, review insurance information, and assist with payment solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding team supporting multiple medical practices in a structured, professional environment. Key Responsibilities: Contact patients via phone to discuss and resolve outstanding balances Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and billing statements Explain charges, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibility Assist patients in establishing payment plans and collecting payments Answer patient questions regarding billing, insurance, and account balances Work accounts involving Medicare, commercial insurance, and private payors Accurately document all account activity and patient communications Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards Work independently in a hybrid/remote environment while meeting productivity expectations Productivity Expectations: Work approximately 50 patient accounts per day Manage high-volume patient outreach and follow-up Systems & Tools: Practice management and billing systems (NextTech and similar platforms) Electronic health records and collections tools Microsoft Office, including Excel Remote work tools and communication platforms Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of patient collections or self-pay collections experience on the physician or healthcare practice side Experience reviewing EOBs and understanding patient financial responsibility Experience working with Medicare and commercial insurance payors Strong understanding of patient billing and collections workflows Preferred Experience: Ophthalmology, dental, or specialty physician collections experience Experience working in a centralized billing or collections environment Strong customer service background Ideal Candidate Profile: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with empathy and professionalism Comfortable speaking with elderly patients and discussing financial obligations Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Training & Onboarding: Structured 2-week training program covering systems, workflows, and processes Ongoing support and development within a growing team Work Environment: Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Professional, structured healthcare revenue cycle environment Rapidly expanding team with long-term growth potential Direct hire opportunity with stability and career advancement Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
