Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: Highland is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our clients team at a metals facility in Lebanon, TN. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, including rolling mills, conveyors, presses, and other machinery. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Conduct regular inspections and identify potential problems before they lead to equipment failure. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to diagnose and resolve issues. Work with PLC systems and perform basic programming and troubleshooting. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company and OSHA safety standards. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime. Train operators on proper machine usage and minor troubleshooting techniques. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred. Experience: 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a metals or manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment. Comfortable working in hot, cold, and noisy conditions. Ability to stand, climb, bend, and work at heights when necessary.
