In this job, you/u2019ll be leading teams to develop vehicle specifications, work with procurement to establish contracts, manage vendors during vehicle builds, and deliver vehicles into the SCE fleet. You/u2019ll also be a subject matter expert for vehicle investigations and field vehicle issues. As an Engineer 3, Fleet Vehicle Design and Delivery, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Responsibilities Ensures technical issues and problems are resolved in a timely, e/ufb03cient and cost-e/ufb00ective manner utilizing available resources. Supervises, leads, and coordinates work with full time and contract employees in the execution of new technical strategies, equipment or standards. Conducts life cycle assessments for utility infrastructure materials and processes; improves preventive maintenance procedures to decrease overall downtime. Conducts risk assessments and implements risk mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of engineering projects. Supports audits and inspections; ensures compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety Regulations. Provides engineering and technical expertise and guidance for the identi/ufb01cation, analysis and resolution of high impact, complex and/or cross-functional problems in engineering. Ensures the engineering facility design basis is controlled and design basis documentation is maintained. Conducts engineering and related studies with full technical responsibility for planning and coordinating high-impact complex projects. Provides support and technical training to junior engineering levels. A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, /ufb01nancial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, con/ufb01dential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scienti/ufb01c/technical/math /ufb01eld. Five or more years of experience in engineering within operations, production, construction or maintenance environments. Possess a valid Class C Driver's License. /u00a0 Preferred Qualifications Bachelor/u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. California P.E. License or Engineering in Training. Experience in designing utility fleet vehicles. Knowledge of California Vehicle Codes and ANSI standards relative to derricks and aerials. /u00a0 Additional Information/u00a0 This position/u2019s work mode is/u00a0hybrid./u00a0The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and/u00a0reside in the state of California.
