With every aircraft you touch, you'll help deliver the safety, performance, and experience that our clients expect.GENERAL SUMMARY:The Avionics Technician is responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of avionics systems to ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of business aircraft. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory standards. Working as part of a collaborative team, the Avionics Technician ensures all work is completed to the highest quality, supports a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and contributes to delivering an exceptional experience for aircraft owners, operators, and passengers.PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES: Inspect, troubleshoot and repair all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraftComplete installations, modifications, and upgrades of avionics components and wiring using approved dataInterpret and apply technical manuals, wiring diagrams, engineering orders, and service bulletins to ensure compliance with all regulatory and repair station requirementsDocument all maintenance actions clearly and accurately, including test results, corrective actions, and traceability of all parts usedCommunicates with department manager or crew chief on any problems or repairsEnsure all work performed is within the scope of the project and inspected by an authorized repair station inspectorLearns, understands and follows the company work order and parts requisition process as writtenMaintain the security, calibration, and proper use of tools, equipment, and test devices in accordance with repair-station requirements Top candidates will possess: High school diploma or GED2+ years related avionics installation experienceKnowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs requireWillingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanorAbility to communicate well in straightforward situationsOrganizational skills and attention to detailAbility to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manualsExcellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work Other requirements include: Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systemsThorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.Experience working with and repairing the following aircraft systems: Autopilots, Flight Management Systems, Navigation and Communication Systems, EFIS, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Lighting, Pitot and Static Systems Any bench repair capabilities preferredA&P License/FCC License a plus WHY JOIN ELLIOTT:At Elliott Aviation, you're not just joining a company, you are becoming part of a legacy built on service, craftsmanship, and trust. The base hourly range for this role is $22.00 USD - $44.00 USD. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of experience levels.
