Security Guard for Assisted Living

OverviewJoin our dynamic team as a Security Guard, where your vigilance and proactive approach will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for Residents and employees by patrolling and monitoring campus. Responds to calls for assistance after hours via Emergency Alert System and/or phone call. Minor maintenance requests will also be included.ShiftEvery day from 7p to 11pWhat you’ll do Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers; summoning assistance from 911 if necessary.Answering calls for assistance from Residents and visitors.Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations in all campus buildings.Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful actsInvestigate people for suspicious activity or possessionsRoutine maintenance duties may include: fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects.Other duties as assigned. Basic qualifications Proven ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public. Preferred qualifications Experience in law enforcement or military service is highly regarded.Familiarity with surveillance systems.Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.Knowledge of conflict management techniques.
