Your Role: We are looking for an Enterprise Solutions Architect with extensive knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems. You will bring your expertise in RPG-based applications, DB2/400, middleware integrations, and managed-services delivery models to help clients modernize their systems and overcome legacy challenges. In this role, you will actively engage with prospective customers, diagnose issues with legacy platforms, and craft scalable, modern solutions that encompass operations, automation, modernization, and cloud-adjacent technologies. Your Responsibilities Include: Leading the design and architecture of IBM iSeries/AS400 managed services during the presales cycle. Architecting comprehensive delivery models that include operations, monitoring, security, and integration workflows. Proposing modernization strategies such as API integrations and microservices. Engagement with Senior Stakeholders: Acting as the primary architectural representative in discussions with executive leadership and senior clients. Effectively communicating solution strategies, performance models, and modernization roadmaps in a business-relevant manner. Governance and Delivery Approvals: Ensuring alignment of scope, risks, assumptions, cost models, and SLAs with leadership. Guaranteeing adherence of proposed solutions to industry best practices and client requirements. Collaboration: Working closely with sales teams and technical experts to validate project feasibility. Ensuring smooth transition planning and operational readiness with delivery teams. Standards and Compliance: Promoting standardized solutions by liaising with various departments. Providing input on service definitions and operational commitments. Client Environment Assessment: Conducting thorough assessments of customer IBM i environments and recommending improvements and modernization paths. Support for Delivery Alignment: Collaborating with technology leadership to identify delivery points of contact. Travel may vary from 0% to 100% based on the stage of business dealings and client engagement. Qualifications: 8+ years in a technology environment focused on managed services or systems integration. 5+ years in solution planning or enterprise architecture. 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM iSeries/AS400 systems. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Deep expertise in IBM iSeries components such as DB2/400 and RPG. Experience with modernization techniques like API and microservices integration. Familiarity with ITIL processes and scripting tools related to IBM i. Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts in business terms. Compensation at Accenture depends on various factors including location, role, and skill set.
