Products delivered would be compressed gas cylinders of oxygen, CO2, nitrogen, etc.CDL Truck Driver Job SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and efficient CDL truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina able to withstand long hours on the road. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.CDL Truck Driver Duties and ResponsibilitiesFully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicleDrive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.Pick-up and safely transport goods, etc. to the intended destinationEnsure contents are properly secured in a truck, to prevent damage/injuryObtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveriesAssist in mapping driving routesStay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and deliveryCommunicate with dispatch as neededConfirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest documentPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleanMaintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredFollow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditionsComply with ICC and DOT regulationsMake safety a priority at all timesCDL Truck Driver Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferredValid commercial driver's license (CDL) required2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferredClean driving record with no moving violationsMust pass a background check and drug testSkilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehiclesAlert, focused, and detail-orientedPhysically and mentally fitAbility to lift up to 60 lbs. at a timePossess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shiftsAble to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.Proficient using GPS and other routing systemsMap reading and route planning experienceAn innate sense of directionSelf-starter who works well independentlyDisciplined, dependable, and resourcefulHigh level of composure and good stress management
