Job Details Location: Buckhannon, WV 26201 (West Virginia travel nursing job) Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel assignment Setting: Acute Care – Emergency Department (8-bed ER with 2 trauma bays, decon room) Start Date: February 28, 2026 End Date: May 30, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (weekends as scheduled; blocked schedule not guaranteed) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Number of Openings: 2 ER RN positions Scrub Policy: Navy blue (undershirts: white, black, navy, or gray; scrub jacket optional but must be navy) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2130/week Qualifications & Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact, as applicable) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department / ER clinical experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Ability to work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) Willingness to complete a 3-shift orientation with a preceptor Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred (EPIC experience a plus for travel nursing jobs) Responsibilities – Emergency Department (ED) / ER RN Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in an acute care Emergency Department setting Assess, triage, and manage a wide range of acute and emergent conditions including trauma, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, and psychiatric presentations Perform clinical procedures: draw labs, start IVs, monitor patients, and other ER nursing procedures (no IV team available) Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care and improve patient outcomes Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and TruBridge-Evident charting systems Follow hospital protocols, participate in staff holiday rotation, and support unit-level quality initiatives This travel nursing job is ideal for ER Registered Nurses seeking hands-on acute care experience in a community hospital setting.
