About the Role We are seeking a Senior Wastewater Process Design Leader to enhance our Water Team. This role will focus on leading the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes, emphasizing biological and advanced treatment technologies. While our preference is for this position to be based in Western Washington or Oregon, we welcome exceptional candidates from other locations willing to travel for client engagement and team collaboration. Your Responsibilities Include: Project Delivery Oversight: Direct the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes, including serving as the engineer of record for preliminary engineering studies and planning documents. You will develop plans, drawings, and specifications for wastewater treatment facilities and utilize your experience with process modeling tools like BioWIN, hydraulic modeling, and cost estimating. Project Management: Coordinate and oversee the design phase of water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and client expectations. Responsibilities include defining project scopes and budgets, managing schedules, assigning tasks, and providing guidance to meet project deadlines and budgets. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, collaborating on water and wastewater projects. Facilitate coordination with civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to ensure successful project delivery and provide technical mentorship to project engineers at various experience levels. Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide project updates, and address challenges. You will also lead and participate in client workshops. You Should Have: Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field. Professional Engineering License. 10+ years of progressive experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment planning, design, and construction support. Familiarity with design software tools for the water industry, including BioWIN, Revit, and Civil 3D. Compensation Information: The base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $200,000 depending on qualifications. Compensation takes into account factors such as education, experience, location, and role.
