Join Cooley as a Senior DevOps Engineer within our Infrastructure & Development Operations team. As a vital member of our team, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure and automation pipelines that support Cooley's custom application delivery. Position Summary: In this role, you will focus on enhancing the efficiency, security, and reliability of our hybrid cloud environments and CI/CD workflows. Collaborate with development, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application integration and deployment. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and sustain DevOps infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, on-prem). Develop and uphold Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform and related tools. Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes to foster quick, secure software delivery. Monitor system performance, availability, and security utilizing tools like Datadog, AppDynamics, or New Relic. Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem documentation. Facilitate release management for Dev/Test/Prod environments. Collaborate with development and data teams to seamlessly integrate applications into the DevOps-managed environment. Participate in stand-ups and planning sessions to align with product and infrastructure roadmaps. Provide thorough documentation and share knowledge regarding operational processes and tooling. Consult with peer teams for feedback during design, testing, and implementation stages. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and other firm applications upon orientation at Cooley LLP. Flexibility to work extended and/or weekend hours as required. 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps. Expertise in AWS or Azure architecture, configuration, and security. Experience in designing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Strong skills in Terraform, including the use of Terragrunt and advanced workflows. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps tools (Flux, ArgoCD). Familiarity with microservices deployment and release automation. Experience deploying .NET Core containers on Linux, with scripting knowledge in Linux/Windows. Understanding of open-source and NoSQL databases (e.g., MS SQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch). Proficient with APM tools (Datadog, New Relic, etc.) and IaC security tools (Snyk, tfsec). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with ETL workflows and tools like AWS EMR, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Hive, Spark, or Airflow. Experience deploying AKS/EKS/GKE via IaC. Keen understanding of enterprise Data Lake environments (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake). Key Competencies: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning skills, with a strong background in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex technical issues. Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities, with a track record of managing competing priorities effectively. Proficient verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly and concisely to stakeholders. Skillful at building effective relationships with business professionals, management, and vendors. Cooley offers a competitive compensation package, including a range of benefits to support your health and wellness. The expected annual pay range for this position is $155,000 - $220,000, with final offer amounts depending on geographic location, experience, and skills.
