You'll kick off each morning with a collaborative team huddle, discussing client needs and daily goals. Throughout the day, you'll interact directly with clients, providing compassionate care and facilitating activities that promote recovery. Documenting client progress and contributing to care plans are essential parts of your role, ensuring that everyone’s journey is tracked and celebrated.You’ll problem-solve with your team, brainstorming creative approaches to enhance care. Each day is an opportunity to bring empathy and integrity to every interaction, making a lasting impact on those you serve.Would you be a great BHT?To excel as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Sanctuary Recovery Centers, you’ll need a unique blend of skills and qualifications that enable you to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of one year of full-time behavioral health experience is essential, with a preference for candidates showcasing long-term sobriety or a degree from an accredited institution. Your empathetic nature and problem-solving abilities will shine as you assist in assessments, treatment plans, individual and group counseling, and discharge planning. Technical proficiency is key; you’ll engage with our documentation tools and follow established protocols, including the Assisted Self-Administration of medication in the absence of a registered nurse.You must obtain a fingerprint clearance card and demonstrate the ability to secure CPR and First Aid training certification. Your commitment to ongoing development will be evident as you attend clinical oversight and training sessions each month, ensuring you stay current in best practices and quality care.Knowledge and skills required for the position are: ProcedureI. Behavioral Health Paraprofessional (BHPP)A. Services:1. All BHPP staff will function as peer support specialists under the supervision of a licensed behavioral health professional.B. Qualifications:1. Must be 18 years of age or older.2. We will obtain a copy of their identification showing proof of age.3. Must have fingerprint clearance card pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-411 or ability to apply for one within 20 working days of employment.4. The ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Training and certification.C. Documentation Requirements:1. When services are performed by a BHPPa BHP will provide supervisionand the documents used to document the counseling services will be signed off by the BHP.2. Will attend 2 hours of Clinical Oversight and training per monthII. Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)A. Services:1. A BHT may assist in assessmentstreatment plansindividual counselinggroup counselingand discharge planning.2. BHT when a registered nurse is not available to dispense medications will be responsible for the Assisted self-administration of medication and be required to follow Policy #: 8.12 of this manual.B. Qualifications:1. Behavioral Health Technician must have at least one year of full-time behavioral health experience; preference will be given to candidates who possess long term sobrietyand/or a degree from an accredited higher education institution.2. Must be 18 years of age.3. Will obtain a copy of their identification showing proof of age.4. Must have fingerprint clearance card pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-411 or ability to apply for one within 20 working days of employment.5. The ability to obtain CPRand First Aid training and certification.III. Clinical Oversight:A. On a Monthly basisthe clinical director will perform 2 hours of clinical oversightwhich includes BHP’s and BHPP’sduring which they will discuss the scope and extent of services providedthe acuity of the residents receiving servicesand the number of residents receiving services. Each meeting will last a minimum of 60 minutes. At a minimumclinical oversight will be provided at least once during each two-week period that a BHT provides clinical services.
