NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time Safety Coordinator in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Summary Works under direct supervision of Division Safety Manager Assists in New Employee Safety Orientation training Inspects & audits projects/jobsites for compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and programs Conducts employee training on company safety policies, procedures, and programs Periodically participates in weekly safety toolbox meetings on projects/jobsites Assists Division Safety Manager in investigating incidents/near-misses and prevention recommendations Participates in safety inspection process; assists management to ensure all violations are corrected immediately Builds effective relationships with customers, general contractors, and other subcontractors that meet/exceed expectations in support of company core values Completes other duties as directed by Division Safety Manager Travel may be required. Qualifications 5 years construction safety experience required; 2-5 yrs. electrical construction experience preferred Knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices Must possess/maintain OSHA-30 Certification and 1st Aid/CPR Certification or have ability to obtain within time period as directed by the company; and other Certifications as required by project/customer including HAZWOPER Certification Valid motor vehicle license with ability to travel to jobsites within Wisconsin Ability to read/interpret all safety regulations and apply them to company policies and practices Ability to work/lead in an ethical and safe manner, to solve problems and adjust priorities , and support company values Proficient communication and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) skills Ability to communicate effectively with management and field employees Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
