Preference will be given to candidates whose research has demonstrated ways to combine experimental economics and AI methodologies. The faculty member will teach in-person courses on campus at graduate and undergraduate levels and contribute to mentoring students. This position is responsible for leading the Economic Science Laboratory (ESL). They will participate in outreach and contribute to departmental, college, and university service. Our faculty research is published consistently in leading economics journals, and regularly wins research grants and national and international prizes. The Department's instruction is also outstanding, with faculty members consistently winning university and national awards for their teaching. Our department is the home of the Economic Science Laboratory (ESL), the pioneer in experimental and behavioral economics for teaching and research, as well as the Institute for Behavioral Economics. Duties & Responsibilities Perform significant and continuing scholarly research in experimental economics and AI methodologies, resulting in publications in leading academic journals. Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs. Lead the Economic Science Laboratory (Train and mentor doctoral students. Serve the university through various committee assignments and in additional ways, meet the needs of both the department and college, and enhance their external stature. Minimum QualificationsAssociate Professor Ph.D. in Economics or related field from an accredited institution. Evidence of considerable teaching success, high-quality publications, a strong research pipeline and successful leadership experience. Full Professor Ph.D. in Economics or related field from an accredited institution. Experience holding a tenured position in an accredited institution or equivalent qualifications in research, teaching, and service. Preferred Qualifications Record of research combining experimental economics and AI methodologies.
