Playwright Automation Tester

Akkodis is seeking a Playwright Automation Tester for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. You will be responsible for building endtoend Playwright frameworks, executing E2E and API tests, and enabling continuous testing through DevOps integration. Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Playwright Automation Tester job responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain a robust endtoend automation framework using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript for web applications. Create and execute highquality automated test scripts covering functional, regression, integration, and endtoend (E2E) scenarios. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to support continuous testing and gated deployments. Develop and maintain automated API tests to validate backend services, data integrity, and system reliability. Perform crossbrowser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit to ensure consistent application behavior and performance. Identify, log, and track defects in JIRA, collaborate with developers to resolve issues, and participate in code reviews to ensure test code quality, scalability, and maintainability. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 8-10 years of professional experience in test automation and quality engineering, with a strong focus on web application testing. Must have handson expertise in Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript, including building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks. Proven experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and working with crossbrowser testing, API automation, and defect tracking tools.
