Delivery Driver and Medical Equipment Technician

DME Express is experiencing remarkable growth and is seeking dedicated delivery drivers and technicians to deliver and collect medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and oxygen supplies to hospice patients. As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and support to this vital sector. Whether you have experience or not, we are ready to train the right candidates! Key Responsibilities: Identify optimal daily routes, assemble, deliver necessary equipment, and educate patients and families on the proper use of equipment. Comply with all DOT and FDA regulations related to oxygen and durable medical equipment. Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure cleanliness in both the warehouse and delivery vehicles. Ensure all Medical Equipment Technicians follow company and accreditation standards. Provide orientation and training to patients/clients on equipment usage when needed. Act as a company representative, addressing various patient/client issues. Complete delivery and pickup processes accurately and timely through our app. Assist with cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repairs of equipment. Conduct daily preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles. Promote teamwork, assisting fellow drivers as required. Be available for weekend shifts on a rotating basis. Take on-call duties based on a predetermined rotation. Perform necessary warehouse and office maintenance tasks. Exhibit professionalism, courtesy, and patience while interacting with clients. Positively market the company at all times. Requirements: Maintain a positive attitude. Willing to work in a 24/7 operational environment with a rotating on-call schedule. Accept additional duties as assigned. Possess a clean driving record. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. COVID Precautions: Personal Protective Equipment is provided and required, along with temperature screenings, social distancing, and regular sanitization of equipment and vehicles.
