Job Description Gpac is partnering with a confidential pet food manufacturer to find a skilled Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation of food safety and quality programs, ensuring adherence to FSMA, GFSI/BRC standards, and corporate quality requirements. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining regulatory compliance, ensuring audit readiness, fostering continuous improvement, and guiding your team effectively. Key Responsibilities Lead and uphold FSMA compliance, Food Safety Plans, and Preventive Controls. Oversee BRC/GFSI certification processes and maintain audit readiness. Manage site-level quality assurance and food safety systems, including SOPs and related documentation. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, certification organizations, clients, and consultants. Guide CAPA programs, conduct root cause analyses, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee pest control measures, microbiological testing, and finished product evaluation programs. Train, mentor, and oversee the QA team, including supervisors, specialists, and technicians. Support supplier quality assurance programs and raw material approval processes. Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, R&D, and leadership teams. Actively engage in senior management initiatives and business objectives at the site. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance. 5-10 years of experience in food processing, including supervisory roles. Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments and GFSI certification standards. HACCP and/or PCQI certification preferred. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
