The Human Resources Generalist supports the administration, coordination, and delivery of services for dental and support offices in Oregon and Washington. This position is heavily focused on employee relations and data management for your assigned regions and teams within in a multi-site environment and partners closely with Operations leadership and HR team members to support the People needs of the organization. This position supports approximately 75 offices in Oregon and Washington and is based out of our support center office in Salem, OR. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties: Develop and maintain a working understanding of the business units being supported and provide HR support throughout the regions Build and maintain positive, strong working relationships with team members, managers, operational leaders, HR colleagues, and HR vendors Partner and support Directors of Operation and Practice Managers with performance management, behavioral issues, policy interpretations, corrective action, and conflict resolution conversations, serving as first point of contact for day-to-day employee relations matters and partnership with HR leadership to ensure consistency, appropriate escalation, and risk mitigation Provide supplemental administrative and communication support for leave of absence and accommodation processes, as needed, in coordination with the leave team and leave vendor. Ensure accuracy and completeness of team member data related to job changes, corrective actions, and employment status updates in your respective support teams and regions Participate in HR initiatives, process improvements, system upgrades, and training as assigned. Create HR-related communications and change initiative communications as assigned. Encourage team member involvement in recognition programs and engagement initiatives by creating communications to increase engagement. Support leaders and HR Leadership with talent reviews, succession planning, organizational changes, and workforce planning, engagement surveys and communications support activities as needed Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws governing employment Conduct or assist with employee relations investigations related to team member complaints, including fact-finding, documentation review, witness interviews, and summary preparation including concerns involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or other risk concerns in partnership with HR leadership as appropriate. Review disciplinary documentation for completeness and consistency, escalating as needed Review standard HR reports and HR data to support decision-making, identify discrepancies, trends and to make recommendations for continuous improvement to HR leadership. Identify potential risk indicators and elevate matters promptly to HR leadership. Other duties as assigned or modified as business needs dictate EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE A High School Diploma or GED is required A Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or HR certification are preferred 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-site, fast-paced environment Employee relations experience strongly preferred Compensation: $65,000 Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
