May be required to perform simple wire connections, per drawings, etc. MIG and TIG welding for galvanized and stainless-steel applications. Demonstrate ability to use an assortment of hand/power tools. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Complete unit paperwork and Quality Control (QC) checklist. Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner. Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner. Safety Responsibilities: Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations. Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training. Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers. Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management. Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner. Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner. Requires bending, stooping, and standing. Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.) Good visual and spatial perception.
